The Ultimate Headlight Restoration In Clarksville

Restore your headlight, gain clearer visibility, and make your car look newer!

Do your headlights have a foggy-hazy look to them? Maybe you’ve noticed your visibility at night or during the rainy times is much lower (thank you Clarksville weather). No worries, you don’t have to replace them, nor do you have to open up your lens (as many people think the haziness is from the inside of the lens. Most of the time it’s not)

By sanding your headlights, we’re removing the old layer of clear coat that has failed and oxidised (which leads to the yellow-foggy look). Then we’ll compound and polish to bring them back to a like-new condition. Inside the polish, it will add a up to a 1-year durability of protection.

The Ultimate Headlight Restoration Process

We don’t use a generic headlight repair kit that you find at your local auto parts store. We go through a full 3-step sanding, compounding, polishing, and protection process to offer the best results.

  1. Start sanding headlight with 800 grit

  • The first round of sanding is where the oxidisation is removed. You'll see a lot of slurry come off.

    2. Sand headlight with 1,000 grit

As we move up the process, we remove less oxidisation. The focus now is to refine the sanding marks.

    3. Sand headlights with 3,000 grit

This is the final sanding step. The headlight is looking much clearer.

    4. Compound the headlights

Using a cutting disc, compound, and machine polisher, we'll remove the sanding marks.

    5. Polish the headlights

Finally, we'll refine the cutting step to bring out maximum clarity with a light polish and polishing pad. For protection, our polish applies a 1-year protective layer to provide durable protection.

Do you come to me?

We are 100% mobile-based detailing company. However, We do not offer headlight restoration as a standalone service. You would have to pair this with another service like a Premium Wash or Wash and Wax. We service the Clarksville area and surrounding areas like Fort Campbell, Oak Grove, Hopkinsville, etc…

How long does this service take?

It depends on the size and condition, but it typically takes 45 to 60 minutes to complete. If the condition is severe, it’ll take longer.

Can you restore any headlights?

Like many things, once the headlights get to a certain point, there is only so much we can do to restore them to a like-new condition. Your headlights will look better after we’re done, but there can also be permanent damage that can’t be able to be fixed.

Why do my headlights turn yellow?

Your headlights, just like your paint, have a clear coat on them. As the sun beats on it week after week, the clear coat starts to deteriorate. Eventually, what was the clear coat turns into an ugly yellow layer of gunk. Because of the material of the headlights, the clear coat on them doesn’t last nearly as much as the clear coat on the paint.
